for All
Cyprus is small but the outdoor density is high. Three terrains in a 90- minute drive: coast, plains, Troodos mountains. THE BIG HIKES · AKAMAS PENINSULA (Paphos district) — UNESCO biosphere candidate. Wild, unspoilt. Aphrodite Trail (7.5km loop from Baths of Aphrodite), Adonis Trail (~7.5km), Avakas Gorge (3km, sheer-cliff slot canyon). · TROODOS (Limassol/Nicosia border) — Cyprus's mountain range, max 1,952m Mt Olympus. Atalanti Trail (14km circular around the summit), Caledonia Falls (4km return, the prettiest waterfall walk), Persephone Trail (3km, family-friendly). · CAPE GRECO (Famagusta) — coastal cliffs, sea caves, blue grottoes. Cape Greco National Forest Park has 4-5 short trails. · KYKKOS / MILLOMERIS — for the spectacular monastery + the longest fall in Cyprus (Millomeris Falls). WHEN TO HIKE · Oct–May: ideal across the island. Cool, green, wildflowers in spring. · Jun–Sep: only Troodos high altitude — coastal trails brutal in heat. · Jan–Feb: Troodos has snow.
